Dalia* is one of the many thousands of women in Gaza who have given birth over the last year — displaced and without healthcare.
While seven months pregnant, Dalia was forced to flee from her home in northern Gaza. She gave birth in January, telling us: “I felt very thin and fatigued… my baby’s condition was not any better.
”It was incredibly cold; we were right in the middle of winter. Our response so far
- Food relief for over 117,600 people including food parcels, vegetable baskets and hot meals
- Essential items for 9,650 people including soap, toothbrushes, hairbrushes, sanitary pads and underwear
- Shelter facilities for over 29,500 people including tents and water tanks, and building shower blocks at displacement sites
- Protection services for over 4,150 women and children to access psychosocial support and wellbeing activities
